BALAKOT:

More than 130,000 tourists visited various tourist destinations in Kaghan Valley during the three days of Eidul Azha.

The Babusar Top Road, which was recently reopened after a seven-month closure, also attracted many visitors from across the country. This road had been closed due to heavy snowfall and glaciers at Babusar Top. The restoration of the road facilitates short journeys for locals and tourists going to Gilgit.

According to Kaghan Development Authority DG Rehmat Ali Wazir, staff leaves were cancelled on Eidul Azha due to the influx of visitors. Tourist facilitation centres have been established at various places including at Hussamabad, Kaghan, Naran and other areas to guide the tourists. Tourism police and traffic police are also working to control the flow of traffic.

On the second day of Eid alone, a record 74,000 tourists entered Kaghan Valley and a total of 130,000 tourists visited Kaghan Valley in three days. Tourists are visiting the valley in large numbers due to the pleasant weather up north, picturesque views and fresh atmosphere of Kaghan Valley.
