Pakistan women’s netball team produced an impressive performance in Hong Kong, whipping South Korea 72-23, their second win from three matches in the plate division of the Asian Women’s Netball Championship.

Pakistan dominated proceedings from the outset, displaying excellent teamwork, discipline and determination throughout the match. Pakistan maintained control of the contest with a well-organised attacking approach and a solid defensive effort, eventually securing a comprehensive 49-point victory.

Lia Raza Shah, Farah, Noor-ul-Ain and Samaya were among the standout performers for Pakistan, making valuable contributions to the team’s commanding display.

Pakistan’s players showed strong coordination and composure as they built their lead, while their defensive organisation kept South Korea under sustained pressure. Despite attempts by the South Korean side to fight back, Pakistan remained firmly in control and continued to extend their advantage until the final whistle.

The emphatic victory will provide a significant boost to Pakistan’s confidence as the team continues its campaign in the tournament. The Green-shirts will now look to build on this performance in their upcoming fixtures.

Pakistan had downed Japan in their first show. The brigade will now face Chinese Taipei in their next encounter on Wednesday and if they win it the it would help them secure a final spot in the plate division, featuring five teams.

The winners of the plate division will promote to the Cup Division in the next year’s edition as the side which will finish sixth in the Cup division in this event will demote to the plate division.
