ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan’s seasoned batsmen Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan have been summoned by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) as part of an investigation into alleged dressing room leaks during the team’s tour of England.

The two batsmen are scheduled to appear before the NCCIA in Lahore on Friday after receiving notices from the agency on Monday, sources said.

According to sources, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has handed over the players’ mobile phones to the NCCIA as investigators examine information and material recovered from the devices.

Imam and Rizwan are expected to be asked to unlock their phones as part of the inquiry, with investigators looking for material that could shed light on the reported leaks from inside the Pakistan dressing room during the England tour.

The investigation is focused on how sensitive information allegedly made its way outside the team environment and whether players’ devices contain evidence connected to the leaks.

Sources also said another Pakistan cricketer, in addition to Imam and Rizwan, has received a notice from the NCCIA.
