District Health Officer Islamabad Dr. Syeda Rashida Batool addressed a breast cancer awareness session at Medical Centre G-9, emphasizing the importance of early detection, regular screening, and timely treatment.

The session was organized as part of the Pinktober awareness campaign to educate women about breast cancer, its early warning signs and the importance of seeking medical advice without delay.

Dr. Rashida Batool stressed the need to strengthen community-level awareness and encourage women to adopt proactive health-seeking behaviour to improve early diagnosis and treatment outcomes.

She highlighted that greater awareness of breast health and timely medical consultation could help women access appropriate care and improve their chances of successful treatment.

The initiative formed part of ongoing public health efforts to promote preventive healthcare and increase awareness about breast cancer among women in Islamabad.
