Actor shares emotional story of son’s illness, credits family for support and strength during difficult times

Kafeel actor Hasan Khan discussed his struggles as a parent with his oldest son in the ICU, while also touching on his early acting career in a recent interview. Many fans were moved by Khan’s love for his children and the emotional story of his one-and-a-half year old son.

“I have two sons, all praise to God. My oldest son, who is four years old now, was very sick at one point,” Khan said. “He was in the ICU for almost 50 days and on the ventilator for 10 days. He was one-and-a-half years old at that time,” he added.

Khan went on to say, “He was my first son, so deeply loved, and those 60 days were extremely difficult as a father, hearing from doctors that it would be hard to save his life. Even seeing other people’s children go through something like this is heartbreaking. To see your own child on a ventilator is something I will never forget”.

“I have kept pictures from those moments as memories. I have thought about deleting them, but his experience has really shaped him and made him stronger as a kid,” he added. “He gets away with a lot too,” Khan joked.

The actor also spoke on his upbringing in Karachi, his views on sports and a bit about his marriage and family life. “I don’t believe in getting married early or late, or that money and work alone determine everything. Everything is in His hands,” he said.

“I got a lot of support in my career. I was going through a very difficult time in my life. My wife and children saved me. I got married after Dil-e-Veeran, which flopped. There are certain beliefs I have about marriage. When you do your nikah, your rizq becomes connected to your spouse and children. It is a plus point to have blessings come into my life as well as my career,” he added.

Khan laughed while sharing his personal opinion on love. “Love for me is not something I have explored. I fell in love after marriage. If I knew love was like this, I probably would have gotten married earlier,” he said.

The actor has appeared in four dramas so far, with his role in Kafeel as Jamal giving him the most recognition.
