The military top leadership on Tuesday underscored the importance of restraint and the avoidance of escalation amidst rising regional tensions, reiterating that peace and stability in the region were closely tied to collective restraint and respect for sovereignty.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir presided over the 275th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

The statement said that during a discussion on the broader regional security environment, the forum acknowledged that emerging geopolitical developments carry significant implications for regional stability.

While emphasising the importance of restraint, the forum also recognised Pakistan’s continued responsible role in advocating for stability and supporting efforts aimed at preventing further deterioration of the situation.

“It reiterated that peace and stability in the region are intrinsically linked to collective restraint, responsibility, and respect for sovereignty,” the statement said.

The forum conducted a comprehensive review of the prevailing internal and external security environment and resolved to maintain its current operational tempo to decisively dismantle terrorist networks, disrupt their support infrastructure, and deny them operational space within Pakistan.

ISPR added that the military leadership acknowledged the continued degradation of terrorists and their support infrastructure through Operation Ghazab Lil Haq.

“It noted that the irrational and perverted policy of the Afghan Taliban regime, which provides safe havens to Khawarij and other terrorist organisations, with total disregard for the interests of the Afghan people, is increasingly backfiring and stands fully exposed,” the statement read.

The forum also noted the recent pattern of the Afghan Taliban regime’s ongoing propaganda campaign, which falsely portrays Pakistan as targeting civilians inside Afghanistan. The forum termed these misleading narratives part of a coordinated disinformation strategy designed to distract attention from the regime’s internal failures and to play the victim card.

“The Forum categorically rejected these frivolous allegations and reaffirmed that Pakistan’s defensive actions remain focused, precise, and directed solely against infiltrators, terrorist hideouts, and support infrastructure,” it said.

Marka-e-Haq anniversary

The CCC congratulated the nation and the Armed forces on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, recognising it as a defining moment reflecting national unity, collective resolve, and an unyielding commitment to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty at all costs.

“The forum underscored that the national commemoration of Marka-e-Haq serves as a clear message to India’s hubristic political mindset, showing that the Pakistani nation stands united, resilient, and fully prepared,” ISPR added.

The statement highlighted the unshakeable harmony between the people, government, and Armed Forces of Pakistan, which stands together as “Bunyanum Marsoos” against all internal and external challenges.

Tribute to martyrs, operational readiness

The CCC paid rich tribute to the martyrs of the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians who laid down their lives in the defence of the motherland. The forum reaffirmed that the enduring legacy of the martyrs continues to serve as the bedrock of Pakistan’s national security, unity, and resilience.

During the conference, the CDF expressed satisfaction with the high standards of operational preparedness, professionalism, and combat readiness of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

“He commended commanders and formations for their unwavering commitment, vigilance, and success in ongoing intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations across the country,” the statement said.

Condemnation of atrocities in IIOJK

The CCC strongly condemned the ongoing atrocities, extrajudicial killings, and demographic changes in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). It reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering diplomatic, political, and moral support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people.

In his concluding remarks, the CDF directed commanders to maintain the highest levels of vigilance, operational readiness, and adaptability in the face of evolving threats.

“He emphasised the need for continued focus on professional excellence, integrated response mechanisms, and proactive measures to counter both conventional and non-conventional challenges.”
