ISLAMABAD:

In a move aimed at modernising public service delivery and improving accessibility, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a revamped, feature-rich website designed to streamline identity-related services for citizens at home and abroad.

The upgraded platform brings together a wide range of services – including Computerised National Identity Cards (CNIC), National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), Pakistan Origin Card (POC) and Family Registration Certificate (FRC) – under a single, user-friendly interface.

The new website allows applicants to navigate processes more efficiently. Officials say the website integrates advanced data visualisation tools, with registration data and demographic statistics presented through the nGRIDS system in the form of interactive maps.

Users can access comparative analyses of census and registration figures at the district level, offering deeper insights for researchers and policymakers alike. To further support planning and academic work, a dedicated map gallery has been introduced, providing access to national and provincial trends. The platform also highlights a more coordinated system for the registration of vital events, including births, deaths, marriages and divorces.

In addition, the authority has consolidated its verification services for banks, telecom operators and government departments, aiming to enhance efficiency and data reliability across sectors. Customer support has also been strengthened, with improvements to the call centre, interactive voice response (IVR) system and email assistance channels.

The complaint registration and resolution mechanism has been upgraded to ensure faster handling of public grievances, while the NADRA career portal now features a simplified online application process for prospective candidates.

The website also offers comprehensive guidance on NADRA’s network, both within Pakistan and overseas, including detailed information on registration centres and mobile registration vans, all accessible through a single platform.

Sections dedicated to Right to Information (RTI) and the media centre have been redesigned along modern lines, reflecting what officials describe as an effort to improve transparency and public engagement.
