Due to rain in London, the Lord’s Test between Pakistan and England is likely to get underway late. The poor weather has been forecast throughout the day. However, the organisers remain hopeful that play will begin at some point on the opening day.

At present, covers are in place over the pitch and the surrounding areas. The pitch had grass on it until a day ago, prompting the team management to consider going in with either four pacers or three fast bowlers and a spinner. A final decision will be made after the pitch is inspected again once the rain stops.
