The Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) has decided to launch a major crackdown against commercial entities defaulting on millions of rupees in government dues, warning that no-objection certificates (NOCs) of several major properties could be cancelled without further notice ahead of Eidul Azha.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the HDA announced what it termed a "final and decisive operation" against illegal commercial activities and property owners who have failed to clear outstanding land-use conversion charges despite repeated notices.

Director Planning and Development Control Asghar Memon expressed serious concern over the non-payment of dues and warned all defaulters to immediately settle their liabilities or face strict action, including cancellation of NOCs and legal proceedings.

According to the HDA, repeated reminders and notices had already been issued through multiple channels, but the defaulters continued to show what officials described as a "persistent irresponsible attitude," leaving the authority with no option but to proceed with enforcement action in the public interest.
